After launching the first copy of Crown Magazine (5,000 copies circulated across Ontario) I moved in to cover the Raptors and NBA for Slam magazine for 1 year (2009). It was a great way to get my feet wet at the PRO level. My first NBA moment at 18 years old; Shaquille O’Neal in the Toronto Raptors media room taking down chicken wings—while covering half the table with his seven-foot wide frame. I interviewed players like Kevin Durant, Jamal Crawford & DeMar DeRozan.
